Our Locations

By working with local enterprise zones we can provide a clear, visible reduction in waste plastic in the local environment by setting up recycling facilities at these sites. By targeting the local feedstock market, Enviroo will develop a pioneering blueprint for plastics recycling in the UK. This blueprint sees our systems provide a solution for each step of the recycling chain, uniting every contributor in the process.

Enviroo starts its recycling ambitions in the North West of England at Peel L&P Environmental’s Protos Park which will bring together a strategic cluster of energy, innovation and industry. Enviroo will be a strategic partner of this symbiotic park contributing to plastic waste elimination. A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with Peel L&P Environmental (part of Peel Holdings Ltd) to supply 100% of PET plastic waste material to the site for processing at our plant.

Protos will be the UK’s first ‘Plastic Park’ which will contribute to the recycling of the 4.9 million tonnes of plastic waste generated in the UK each year, preventing it ending up in landfill, being exported overseas or dumped in the ocean.

According to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) the North West England waste recycling rate has declined between 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 and only 13 of its 43 authorities are showing an increase of 0.1 percentage point or more in the recycling rate in 2017/18. This highlights the urgency for change in the region and across the country.
